April 2014: Aylin is speaking on cultural heritage and tourism at the Secrets of Tafileh: Local Assets for Community Empowerment and Development workshop jointly organised by the Jordan Tourism Board, Department of Antiquities and Centre for British Research in the Levant.

March 2014: Aylin was an invited speaker at the ICOMOS International Cultural Tourism Committee Workshop on Creative Cities and Tourism held in Florence, Italy.

December 2013: Aylin Orbasli and Keith Knight have succesfully completed the first (pilot)conservation training course for the RIBA. Looking forward to the nationwide roll out the four day courses in 2014. Click here for dates, places and more details.

November 2013: Aylin's article, written with Roger Hills from Jersey Heritage on 'Resurveying Jersey's historic environment' is published in the November issue of Context, the journal of the Institute of Historic Building Conservation.

October 2013: Aylin was a panel judge for this years Malaysian Young Architecture Award (MYAA) by Lysaght.

March 2013: Aylin presented a paper on ‘Heritage Protection and Tourism Development in Abandoned Coastal Settlements’ Red Sea VI Conference held in Tabuk, Saudi Arabia.

January 2013: Aylin delivered a lecture: ‘The historic town as destination: experience, authenticity and conservation’ to the Cambridge Heritage Research Group at the University of Cambridge.

November 2012: As invited speaker Aylin delivered a paper on ‘Contribution of archaeological site management to regional development’ at the Heritage in Context organised by the German Institute of Archaeology in Ankara, Turkey.
